With the aim of transforming public administration and improving the quality of urban life, the innovative GeoIA project is developing a Artificial GeoIntelligence platform that will integrate advanced technologies to optimize citizen services and support strategic decision making.

This ambitious project seeks to establish a «“smart territory” through the implementation of geographic information systems (GIS), big data and machine learning, which will allow analyzing and processing large volumes of georeferenced data in real time. The platform focuses on improving the efficiency of public services, simplifying bureaucratic procedures and encouraging citizen participation in urban management.

Financing and Collaboration

The development of GeoIA is possible thanks to a significant investment of 254.344,83 euros, financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project is being carried out by a consortium that includes prestigious entities such as the Institute Technological Institute (ITI) of Valencia, the Digital Intelligence Center of the Province of Alicante (CENID), Grupo GFT, 1MillionBot and the company Gente.

Three Fundamental Pillars

The GeoIA structure is divided into three essential systems:

  1. Semantic Lake of Digital Entities: This system allows the integration and analysis of data from different sectors of public administration, such as cadastral, registry, census and infrastructure data, among others.
  2. Artificial Geointelligence: Uses artificial intelligence to predictively and prescriptively analyze the information collected, which facilitates the prediction of events and the making of correct strategic decisions.
  3. Smart Data Visualization: Presents the information in a simplified and synthesized manner, ensuring that it is easily understandable for all citizens.

Benefits and Applications

GeoIA not only promotes more efficient management of cities, but also promotes the democratization of information and the active participation of citizens in urban planning and development. The applications of this platform range from urban planning and infrastructure management to emergency response and public policy analysis.

This project represents a significant step towards the creation of more connected, informed and participatory cities, marking a milestone in the evolution towards a smarter and more sustainable society in the 21st century.
