At a recent meeting, 1MillionBot has presented notable progress in the project LiVerso: Experimental Development of a Conversational Digital Human Metaverse as an Immersive and Interactive Learning Library, an initiative funded by the Ministry of Digital Transformation under the program «Pexperimental development and process innovation projects through technologies associated with the Metaverse and Web 3«. This online meeting, held on December 21, 2023, was an opportunity for the company's management team and AI specialists to share progress and explore future directions for the project.
The meeting was attended by key figures of the company, including Andrés Desantes, CEO; Belén Alemán, head of Research, Development and Innovation in AI; computational linguists Elena Soria and Natallia Tsuranava; Raquel Pomares, Director of the Linguistics Area; Eva del Mar Pérez, communications manager; and María García, Financial & HR Director.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the demonstration of Digital Humans interacting with users in the metaverse library. The avatars, Placido and DulcineIA, are virtual assistants designed to provide an interactive and enriching educational experience. Plácido, based on Luis García-Berlanga, and DulcineIA, an assistant for reading «Don Quijote of La Mancha", are examples of how artificial intelligence can improve the learning experience in virtual environments.
The LiVerso library is a virtual space where users can explore different educational resources in an immersive environment. The demos showed how users can effectively interact with digital humans, answering queries and providing real-time assistance. This interaction represents a significant advance in the fusion of AI technologies and virtual environments for education and learning.
The meeting also served to discuss the importance of the project's implementation of generative AI on the RASA platform, a key tool for building chatbots and voice assistants that use natural language processing algorithms. This technology underlies the conversational part of Conversational Digital Humans and is essential for fluid and natural interaction with users in the metaverse.
The support of Ministry of Digital Transformation to the project LiVerso de 1MillionBot underlines the importance of innovation in the field of digital education.
