In a decisive step towards digitalization, the Morón de la Frontera City Council has implemented 'El Gallo de Morón', an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) assistant already present in its newly launched web portal.

This innovative assistant, created by 1MillionBot in collaboration with Vodafone, is designed to improve the interaction of citizens with the City Council, providing automatic responses and real-time assistance on administrative procedures and other municipal services.

Some functionalities and features from AI assistant:

  1. Real-time interaction: 'El Gallo de Morón' allows users to interact directly with the system instantly, offering automatic responses to common questions and allowing efficient navigation through the website.
  2. Administrative transactions: The assistant is programmed to provide specific information on how to perform various administrative procedures, such as paying taxes, applying for permits, and more.
  3. Information about municipal services: In addition to the procedures, the AI assistant can inform citizens about the services offered by the City Council, such as different bonuses, registration procedures or requests for social gardens.
  4. Machine learning: The system uses machine learning technologies to improve its responses based on previous interactions with users.
  5. Accessibility and ease of use: The goal of the virtual assistant is to make municipal information and services more accessible to everyone, including people with physical mobility limitations or for whom visiting municipal facilities in person is difficult.

Ignacio Cala, spokesperson for the government team, described the new portal as "a leap overnight" and highlighted that "it means entering into a more modern way of managing the City Council."

In addition to the AI assistant, the website offers new functionalities such as informative totems strategically located throughout the city and a digital citizen folder, thus facilitating access to municipal information and services. Citizens can also manage appointments and communicate with the City Council through WhatsApp, using the portal as a central access point.

Mayor Juan Manuel Rodríguez expressed his satisfaction with these advances: “There are many citizens who make their queries, their appointments, their procedures through the web portal. It was something that we had in debt, that had become a little obsolete, and today is a great day. The officials and technical teams of the City Council have one more tool for this necessary work of electronic administration.”
