Last week, Alicante City Council and the CV-MARQ Foundation signed a collaboration agreement to develop the Interpretation Center of the Huerta Towers in the Sarrió Tower. This agreement aims to highlight and disseminate this rich historical and cultural heritage of Alicante.

The Councilor for Culture highlighted the importance of the agreement to bring citizens closer to this heritage still unknown to many. The MARQ Foundation and Diputación de Alicante, through the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ), will be responsible for the design, creation, supervision and management of the contents of the Interpretation Center. In addition, they will publish a teaching guide and a catalog book that will include historical information, visiting routes and various illustrations about the Torres de la Huerta.

Our company, 1MillionBot (National Computing Award 2024), has its headquarters in one of these towers, Joan Tower, converted into a technological campus that houses startups, companies and projects specialized in artificial intelligence or its hybridization with other technologies (big data, IoT, blockchain, metaverse...).

Among the projects developed by 1MillionBot is precisely “Rafa”, a virtual assistant with AI which answers questions about the Fondillón (how and where it is raised, what grape it comes from, what historical figures have referred to it...), but also about the Huerta de Alicante (Horta d'Alacant) and those fortified farmhouses with towers and dedicated to the cultivation of different agricultural products, such as Monastrell grapes, with which the appreciated wine was produced.
